- Q: I have a particular food allergy. Can you accommodate this?
- We will do our best with your guidance. We must know about food allergies at least 30 days prior to the retreat. We may ask questions about how to prepare foods, what ingredients can be substituted, and for particular recipes that you like in order to assist you.
- Q: What type of personal items should I bring?
- Pack your bags as you would for a hotel stay. However, we have shampoo, conditioner, soap, and hand lotion available in every bathroom. We have a small emergency kit of items just in case you run out. There is a small country pharmacy 3 doors down and Wal-Mart is 20 minutes away.
- Q: What type of drinks can I bring?
- We provide cold pop (all types), bottled water, coffee, tea, hot tea, hot chocolate and lemonade. We are not allowed to purchase and provide alcoholic beverages for you.
- Q: Do we have set times for meals?
- We will discuss meal times with you when you arrive. We can be very flexible.
- Q: When is the scrapbook store open?
- Donna Mickey owns Hometown Crafts & Scrapbooking, right next door to Zane Trace Inn. Her weekend hours are 10 am - 6 pm on Friday and Saturday and 12 am - 4 pm on Sunday . However, she is willing to make special arrangements for our guests! She also gives a 10% discount to all Zane Trace Inn retreat guests.
- Q: Can I crop all night?
- Sure! It's your weekend, you can do whatever you want (that's legal and in good taste!). Crop in your pajama's if you'd like-we want you to be comfortable.
- Q: My friend and I want to come for a weekend. Do we have to share a bedroom with people we don't know?
- We have 3 bedrooms. Two rooms have 3 twin size beds and the large room has 6 twin size beds. Each room has it's own locking system. We can provide you with a key that will open only your bedroom door if you request. We try to put each party together in a room that best fits their needs and do our best not to mix groups. Hopefully, when you come to visit with a small group and another small group is there, you'll be great friends by the end of the weekend!
- Q: Do we have to share bathrooms?
- Each bedroom has a bathroom and there is another bathroom in the main hallway, adjacent to the cropping room.
- Q: What if we want to extend our stay and make it a 3-day retreat?
- You are welcome to stay an extra day. An extra night is only $85 per person and it includes an additional 3 meals. Advance registration for a 3-day stay is greatly appreciated but we will do our best to accommodate last minute requests.
